Summer Crab Cookout
Summer on Chesterman Beach calls for gathering outdoors over fresh Dungeness crab. Our Summer Crab Cookout brings guests together beneath old-growth trees just steps from the Beach Building and the shore, where waves roll in, and the forest rises behind. The setting is rustic and unhurried, with beach sand underfoot, cushioned seating, and umbrellas overhead if the evening mist arrives. This is a coastal tradition shaped by the season and the bounty it brings.
What’s Served
The meal is served family-style from our beachside Crab Shack, where our team prepares everything fresh throughout the evening. Platters arrive at tables meant for sharing as conversations flow, and the sound of waves and laughter mixes with the crack of crab shells.
The menu features:
- Locally caught Dungeness crab with warm butter for dipping
- Three seasonal salads
- Corn on the cob and potatoes
- Fresh-baked bread
- Desserts from our pastry team
- Non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
- Grilled chicken or hot dogs are available for children (under 12) upon request
We accommodate dietary needs and allergies with advance notice. Many items are naturally suitable for various restrictions, and vegetarian or vegan alternatives can be arranged. Please let us know when booking.

The Summer Crab Cookout is exclusively for guests staying at the Wickaninnish Inn due to limited seating, and advance reservations are required.

- Seatings available between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm
- $115 per adult, $65 per child (ages 3-12), plus tax and gratuity
