Set just one block away from the Main Square in Bruges, Hotel Heritage is the perfect homebase for exploring this distinguished Belgian city and its many cultural sites and sights.

Housed in a beautiful 19th-century manor house, the foundation of the hotel dates back to 1390. The building was rebuilt to “contemporary” designs in 1869—perhaps fairly modern by Bruges standards! When the manor became a hotel in 1993, the owners renovated but kept the building’s heritage intact—hence the name—including preserving the 13th/14th-century cellar below the house with its brick cross rib vault supported by a pillar of Doomik natural stone.

There is so much to do in Bruges—it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Be sure to take advantage of Hotel Heritage’s excellent concierge team and services. From theatre and museum tickets to local food recommendations, the concierge team is an incredible asset to your stay at any Relais & Chateaux property (we are so proud of ours at the Wickaninnish Inn!). Of course, just stepping outside your door will get you right into the picturesque centre of Bruges, and walking along the canals, wandering through old squares lined with historic monuments and cathedrals and maybe into local cafes, is a well-advised mode of sightseeing.

The restaurant at Hotel Heritage at Le Mystique is worth booking in advance for. A dining experience embracing traditional French and Belgian fare reflects the French style of enjoying “art de vivre.” The dining room, set in classic style with ornate decor, a grand chandelier and plush red velvet seating, creates a seamless experience of your visit here.

If you find yourself in Belgium, find your way to Hotel Heritage!
