A new order from British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer will require, as of Monday, September 13th, 2021, that all individuals provide proof of vaccination to access a broad range of social, recreational, and discretionary events and businesses throughout the province.

As such, starting Monday, September 13th, government-issued proof of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will be required from all individuals, 12 and older, arriving to the Wickaninnish Inn.

As per our initial promise to meet or exceed all provincial and industry guidelines surrounding COVID-19, by Friday, October 1st, 2021, all individuals accessing the Wickaninnish Inn property will be required to present proof of full vaccination. We have been taking the pandemic very seriously and are taking this proactive measure as an extra precaution for the safety of guests, our staff and our neighbours in Tofino—a small community with limited resources.

Therefore, visitors from all Canadian provinces or territories must show before entering the Inn:

  • Provincially/territorially officially recognized COVID-19 vaccine record of at least one dose by September 13th and of full vaccination by October 1st
  • Valid government photo ID from the same province or territory

All International visitors must show prior to entering the Inn:

  • Proof of vaccination used to enter Canada (proof of full series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine or a combination of accepted vaccines at least 14 days prior to the day you entered Canada)
  • Passport

For your convenience, we strongly encourage sending your proof of vaccination prior to your arrival to Enable JavaScript to view protected content. to expedite your entry when arriving on the property. Please allow 48 business hours for a response to your email.

If no proof of vaccination is provided in advance or at the time of arrival, individuals will not be permitted on Wickaninnish Inn property. Government-issued photo identification will still be required of all guests and visitors to the Inn to confirm residency from an area sanctioned for travel by the Government of BC at the time of arrival.

We have adjusted our cancellation standards, and a full refund will be provided for those who are unable to provide proof of vaccination and therefore need to cancel their stay.

As also required by our provincial health officer, all Wickaninnish Inn team members, guests and visitors, 12 and older, are required to wear masks in indoor public areas regardless of their vaccination status.
