Welcome to the most exciting time of year in Tofino: the fabled storm season that seems to pull in more and more visitors every year, eager to get a front-row seat to a true force of nature. It is, of course, our favourite time of year here at the Wickaninnish Inn, whether we’re sharing the spectacle with amazed guests at the Pointe Restaurant with its sweeping views of the tempestuous open Pacific, or hearing about their exhilaration as they watched the waves and wind from the comfort of their elegantly rustic hotel room. (It’s also no surprise that the words “deep soaker tub” and “comfiest robe ever” are frequent parts of our visitors’ stories.)
Our facilities and amenities just keep getting better and better for guests new and returning. Our Pointe Restaurant recently became a partner of Ocean Wise, an organization that makes it easy for consumers to make sustainable seafood choices that ensure healthy oceans for generations to come. Check out for more about this great organization that we’re proud to support with our menu. This and many other culinary enhancements are in large part owing to Wick Food and Beverage Director Ike Seaman. Ike, a longtime staffer, has welcomed guests in almost every role at the Inn, and it’s employees like him who turn guest stays into unforgettable experiences at The Wick.
Speaking of unforgettable Wickaninnish experiences, we’ve packaged together the merriest of activities this holiday season. Christmas at the Wick is a bonding experience spent at a safe distance from hectic holiday activities and Boxing Day sales, and we look forward to seeing seeing many familiar - and new faces - this year.
