The end of summer may be drawing near, but there’s no end to the activities on offer.

Community events continue throughout September with the Clayoquot Salmon Festival (yum!), followed by Carving on the Edge celebrating talented Tofino artists (including our own Feather George and Christen Dokk Smith), embroidery workshops with Creative Tofino, and ongoing educational programs throughout the month with the Pacific Rim National Park. Visit Tourism Tofino's Events Calendar for more info.

A PEI food adventure: The Pointe’s Executive Chef Barr and Junior Sous Chef Michelle Matheson are heading east this month. We’re proud to see Michelle competing in the PEI International Shellfish Festival, and Chef Barr as a guest chef with The Inn at Bay Fortune for PEI’s Fall Flavours Festival. These culinary festivals are wonderful for celebrating local fare and creating memorable dining experiences. If you’re on the West Coast with us, Chef Barr will also be at Vancouver Feast of Fields—be sure to stop by!

Queen of the Peak (Sept. 28-30, 2018): This Women’s Surf Championship has been a cherished event since it began almost a decade ago, and its popularity is constantly spreading much farther afield than just our community! We’ve loved sponsoring this amazing celebration of women and surfing over the years. One of our contributions is building an onsite Ancient Cedars Spa massage tent, offering a special treat for the competitors in between or after their heats. Good luck to all, we look forward to cheering you on.
