CoastSmart—Know Before You Go: We love the many wonders of playing in or watching the ocean, but it’s also a powerful element and can be dangerous if you’re uneducated about how to navigate it! CoastSmart is a local public safety initiative “designed to enhance coastal safety along the shoreline and in the surfzone.” Innkeeper and avid surfer and storm watcher, Charles McDiarmid, is an ambassador for this important project. It’s always a good reminder to get to know your limitations and potential hazards so you can enjoy the ocean with confidence. Your safety is always important to us.
