A gift that keeps on cooking: May we suggest you add the Wickaninnish Cookbook to your gift or wishlist for the upcoming holiday season! Bring extraordinary west coast cuisine to your home and find your favourite dish to share. With beautiful imagery and tantalizing recipes from our amazing chefs over the years (including that amazing chowder), this keepsake makes any occasion a reason to celebrate.

Winterlights at the Tofino Botanical Gardens (November 30, 2018 - January 6, 2019): This magical annual celebration of lights and art in the Tofino Botanical Gardens is a delight. Featuring local talent and guest artists, this family-friendly event runs throughout the holiday season from 5-9pm nightly. Cozy up with a hot treat and enjoy the live entertainment and thousands of twinkling lights.

Wine cellar teaser:
Old world traditions meet new world tastes in this new space grounded to the very bedrock of Vancouver Island. Dr. Howard McDiarmid’s vision comes true with the creation of “Howard’s Wine Cellar” that is slated for completion of final touches during the January closure. Howard’s Wine cellar is an oenophile’s dream, with a cedar slab table seating up to eighteen in an intimate underground setting for meetings, wine tastings, or sommelier paired Chef’s Table dinners (selected from our augmented collection of 8,500 bottles).

A 20th Anniversary to celebrate: Twenty years ago, two years after the Inn, our Ancient Cedars Spa opened its doors. For its first season, starting Christmas 1998, this in-house spa offered a small menu of massage and esthetics treatments. Since then it has expanded in size—with the Cedar Sanctuary and Rainforest Haven, our two double treatment rooms—and in offerings. In addition to adding more therapeutic practices like private yoga classes and hydrofusion therapy, our menu of signature treatments includes the Hot Stones Massage, Sacred Sea, Lomilomi and the Hishuk Ish Tsawalk Awakening Treatment. We are proud to provide a haven of wellness in our community for visitors and locals alike, and grateful for all those who have helped define it over the years.
