There are some wonderful additions to note for the continuing summer season.

Film in production: If you’ve been here recently, you may have noticed an exciting project currently underway on the adjacent McDiarmid property: A Hollywood film crew has asked to use the family’s private cabin as their primary location in their feature film production until August 13. We look forward to sharing more soon.

Motus Wildlife Tracking Installation: Look up, way up… we have a new addition on our roof! A Motus tower. Installed by the Canadian Wildlife Service, this device enables researchers to track bird, bat and other flying animal migration. In our case, it will give the Canadian Wildlife Service, the Raincoast Education Society and Parks Canada valuable information about the shorebirds who migrate through our area. This will be valuable for ensuring better understanding of the shorebirds’ population and potential threats to their health. We love our shorebirds and are happy to provide assistance with this important initiative.

Jeremy Koreski Gallery: Speaking of wildlife… our talented friend and photographer, Jeremy Koreski, is putting the finishing touches on a new gallery space in town. You may be familiar with his spectacular work, including our own "Experiences' video, but this is the first time it will shine in its own space—an extraordinary establishment in its own right, directly on Campbell Street, neighbouring Storm Surf Shop. Be sure to stop in on your next visit.
