It is a testament to the tremendous work of our teams, both past and present, that have made us who we are! We took our celebration to the end of North Chesterman Beach to share our gratitude for your support throughout this past year with a group video. We are pleased to share that the Inn was also rated Travel + Leisure #80 in top 100 resorts worldwide, while fellow Relais & Châteaux property, Manoir Hovey is rated number one in Canada for the Travel + Leisure list and Fairmont Chateau Whistler is the number one resort in Canada for the Condé Nast Traveler list. Innovation is one of our core values at the Inn, and we were thrilled to launch WickCareers this month, our brand new Instagram account dedicated to showcasing the rich experiences of our talented employees both at work and enjoying the lifestyle on the coast. Highlighting the adventures and friendships in the community of Tofino, we believe it is the people that make the place and this is a great way to get to know the incredible people that make us who we are.

We couldn’t have been more excited to welcome back our mycologist-in-chief, Dr. Andy. Mackinnon, to the Inn for another Mushrooms of the West Coast Field Course earlier this month. Typically offered as a multi-day course through the Raincoast Education Society at the Tofino Botanical Gardens, Dr. Andy MacKinnon took an intrepid group of naturalists out foraging for and identifying mushrooms while explaining the intricate forest ecology that is underpinned by our friendly fungi growing in abundance right here on our grounds and throughout the Pacific Rim.
