Welcome back! Our doors are now open to guests travelling within Canada and, while belated, we are absolutely delighted to have family and friends returning to stay with us and visit our little coastal community.

Of course, it is very important to honour our team's considerable efforts over the past few months, which is why we are committed to meeting and exceeding the actions required for everyone’s health and safety. This means some new measures are in place so we can ensure appropriate physical distancing, and a few of our service offerings are currently paused to meet government health recommendations and orders. Please take a look at the COVID landing page on our website (complete with my video overview), or ask any questions of our team to clarify what precautions we are taking at this time.

The safest approach to reintegration is one with multiple phases, which currently includes restrictions on international travel to BC. We are keeping a very close eye on any news here and, as they ease, we look forward to taking reservations from visitors beyond our borders! If that’s you, we really appreciate your patience, we understand time can feel endless right now, but time is our friend at the moment; it informs the appropriate guidelines to safeguard everyone’s wellbeing. When it is right to do so, we will be heralding in our international guests with bells on!

Like a collective sigh of relief, the reaction of our team and our guests as we start our journey back to something like normalcy is heartwarming. I am filled with gratitude for how the team at the Wickaninnish Inn has handled the uncertainty of the past months, alongside their enthusiasm to implement the changes needed to successfully reopen.

It’s exciting to feel the Inn bustling with activity, it sure was quiet without our team adding their charm and good humour every day. But now there are friendly faces about, enticing smells wafting from the kitchen, and, with the sun shining so brightly, a wonderful summer feel in the air!
