Stay safe. Stay well.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Wickaninnish Inn!

We are following B.C.'s four-step restart plan and are open for guests residing in the Vancouver Island health region. Government-issued identification is required of all guests and visitors to the Inn to confirming residency in the Vancouver Island health region. We are hoping to welcome guests from all other B.C. health regions, on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 and guests from all Canada on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, if travel restrictions allow. Please read here for more information on B.C.'s restart plan.

We have worked diligently on our detailed COVID plan to implement standards that meet or exceed all industry guidelines surrounding COVID-19, with the goal of ensuring all staff, guests and our community remain safe.

We are proud to announce that as of 2021, the Wickaninnish Inn has become a Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED™ property with Forbes Travel Guide. The comprehensive facility verification helps ensure that guests and travel planners can book with confidence at properties that have appropriate health safety procedures in place.

We were built for this

Tofino and the Wickaninnish Inn offer an abundance of natural spaces, allowing you the comfort and grounding of fresh air, clean spaces, and the ability to move freely on Chesterman Beach and our surrounding forest paths. All
air throughout both buildings is 100% from the external environment and not recirculated within public spaces or room to room.

Always a warm greeting

Though we may not shake your hand in the current climate, please know you are greeted warmly in our hearts, and your safety is of utmost importance to us. On arrival at the property, you will be greeted by our welcome ambassador* on our driveway. As all guests and staff are asked to follow proper physical distancing measures, our ambassador may ask for your patience before directing you to continue down the driveway to ensure proper distancing is maintained in each lobby. We’re pleased to provide masks for your use. All staff members and guests are required to wear masks at all times in indoor public areas - with the exception of when seated at a table to dine - for our mutual safety. You are welcome to use your own mask or a mask provided if you prefer.
