Stay safe. Stay well.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Wickaninnish Inn!

We are following B.C.'s four-step restart plan and are now open to all residents of Canada. Government-issued identification is required of all guests and visitors to the Inn confirming residency in Canada.

The Inn plans to begin welcoming American citizens and permanent residents living in the United States starting August 9th, 2021 and provided that the domestic situation remains favourable, intends to welcome all fully vaccinated travellers to the Inn on September 7th, 2021. For a quick and plain-spoken summary of what is required to travel into Canada, check out this bullet point list that provides the basics for most travellers. We encourage all guests to be fully informed of the pre-entry and on-arrival public health and testing requirements, both federally and provincially while planning to visit us. For the latest information on travel to Canada, please visit the Government of Canada’s Travel and Tourism page.

We have worked diligently on our detailed COVID plan to implement standards that meet or exceed all industry guidelines. Based on new regulations, please note we are currently working on transitioning our COVID plan to a communicable disease prevention guide with the ongoing goal of ensuring all team members, guests and our community remain safe.

We are proud to announce that as of 2021, the Wickaninnish Inn has become a Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED™ property with Forbes Travel Guide. The comprehensive facility verification helps ensure that guests and travel planners can book with confidence at properties that have appropriate health safety procedures in place.

We were built for this

Tofino and the Wickaninnish Inn offer an abundance of natural spaces, allowing you the comfort and grounding of fresh air, clean spaces, and the ability to move freely on Chesterman Beach and our surrounding forest paths. All
air throughout both buildings is 100% from the external environment and not recirculated within public spaces or room to room.

Always a warm greeting

Though we may not shake your hand in the current climate, please know you are greeted warmly in our hearts, and your safety is of utmost importance to us.

When arriving on property, you will be greeted by our welcome ambassador on our driveway, who will check government-issued ID to confirm primary residency and COVID-19 screening questions confirming you are not at risk for having COVID-19. We are not permitting guests to visit the property for the specific purpose of self-isolating or quarantine.

All Wickaninnish Inn team members, guests and visitors, 12 and older who are not yet fully vaccinated (14 days after dose 2) are required to wear masks in indoor public areas.  For fully vaccinated individuals, masks are optional according to your comfort level. We are pleased to provide masks for your use.

Masks are still required at all times upon entering the Ancient Cedar Spa, including during consultation and treatment.

Some services are on pause

We’ve decided to postpone offering the following services until British Columbia enters Step 4 of the Restart Plan:
