The position of Concierge will be an hourly entry-level position reporting to the Chef Concierge.
As a Concierge you will:
- Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux and AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards.
- Be true to Our Promise, meet and exceed the service philosophies and standards of the Inn.
- Responsible for day-to-day guest requests regarding travel arrangements to and from Tofino, recreation trips, recommendations of local activities/dining options, and the like.
- Booking of Recreation trips.
- Transportation arrangements.
- Assist with special occasion bookings (Wedding proposals etc.)
- Local recommendations.
- Email and written correspondence.
- Clerical duties such as maintenance of reservation files and day to day operational paperwork are required.
- This position will also be expected to assist on the Guest Reception desk in a limited capacity as a Guest Service Representative whenever necessary.

- Exemplary guest service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.
- Face-To-Face customer service experience in a guest-oriented role.
- Hotel or Resort experience an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with services and activities offered in Tofino, Ucluelet and Vancouver Island.
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License. Applicants must be eligible for a BC Class 5 driver’s license and have a minimum of two years of clean driving experience in their home country.
- The ability to transfer luggage from vehicle trunks to bell carts, ranging up to 40lbs.
- A professional and groomed appearance, calm and capable demeanour.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Substantial prior experience in a Guest Service role is necessary.
- Working knowledge of Maestro, Word and Excel is an asset.
- The flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends.
- A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of the Front Office Department and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole.
- The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.
