Why leave your pet at home when traveling to running & digging paradise?  We like to think we redefine "a dog's life" here at the Wickaninnish Inn with our doggy amenities, miles of sandy beach, and surrounding old-growth forest for foraging at its best.  Our designated pet-friendly rooms are available as Deluxe rooms, Chesterman Beach Loft Suites, or a Frank Island Suite. Simply add $40 per night for your first pet, and $20 for your second pet. Ruffing It includes:

Our Tofino winter storm season is the perfect preface for nestling by a roaring fire with a captivating novel, or a with a pen and blank journal longing to be filled. We’re thrilled to host three writers in residence who will engage discussion and, if you’re aspiring to write your own hardcover one day, inspire your own creations. The dates for these exclusive packages are:

• October 24-26, 2007: Meet Timothy Taylor, whose smash debut novel, Stanley Park, was followed up by Story House and Silent Cruise.
• November 26-28, 2007: Let C.C. Humphreys, third-generation writer and actor, entertain you with tales of swashbuckling heroes from his Jack Absolute series.
• January 16-18, 2008: Chat with the accomplished Susan Swan, newsworthy performance artist and author of various works including The Wives of Bath (made into the feature film Lost and Delirious), the stories of Stupid Boys Are Good to Relax With, and What Casanova Told Me.
