November: Inn and Around the Wick
Raising awareness: October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Inn has partnered with Blue Mountain Winery to help out in as delicious a way as possible. All month long, the Okanagan winery’s luscious rosé sparkling was available at The Pointe, with proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The Inn together with Blue Mountain has been donating $2 per every $15 glass and $10 per every $75 bottle. We’ll drink to that!
Sunset snacks: Everyone loves the casual dining at the Driftwood Café – not to mention the spectacular seaside scenery. Now the café has a whole new “West Coast Antipasti” menu to tempt your palate, created by executive chef Warren Barr. Inn chefs will be in the show kitchen each night, dishing up irresistible nibbles like Pickled Mushroom and White Bean Bruschetta, Tuna Tartar Flautas and Tofino Seafood Stew. Best enjoyed with a glass of wine or craft beer.
Fast, easy, delicious: With so much to do in Tofino and around the Inn, we know guests don’t always want to linger over lunch. And so The Pointe restaurant has introduced its new “Lite Lunch” for those who want to get in and out in a hurry – but still want to enjoy the bounty of our local fields, forests and waters along with the always amazing view. The cost is $35 for a three-course menu that could feature, for instance, Blackberry Cured Nootka Salmon, Foraged Mushroom Papardelle and Vanilla Custard with Peach Preserve. British Columbia wine pairings available at an extra cost.
