2009
Tofino Public Market
Make your way to the Village Green (Campbell & 3rd Street) every Saturday and explore our market. You will find beautiful photographs, unique crafts, and a variety of creations, all while meeting some of our colourful local residents.
Sunday Art Tour
NEW this year, we're pleased to offer you a guided tour of the fine art, much of it locally created, throughout the Inn. Meet us in the Beach lobby every Sunday at 10:00am for this complimentary one-hour tour, open to all.
Music by the Sea at Bamfield
Combine international classical musicians with a pretty, remote village down our coast, and the answer is this inspiring week of performances. For more info, click here.
Ukee Days
Drive down Highway 4 to our neighbouring coastal community of Ucluelet for some small-town fun, including the ever-popular logger sports competition.
CoralWind Chamber Music Festival

Tofino Lantern Festival
One of our favorite Tofino events, this after-dark fundraiser for the Raincoast Interpretive Centre illuminates the Tofino Botanical Gardens with a magical variety of homemade paper lanterns. Stop by the Raincoast Interpretive Centre the week leading up to the Festival to design your own lantern (the more creative, the better!), and join us in the Gardens. Click www.raincoasteducation.org
5th Annual Wickaninnish Inn Pro-Am Golf Tournament
Every year, we play the scenic Long Beach Golf Course, with proceeds going toward the Ucluelet Secondary School's athletics program - including golf, of course! To date, over $20,000 has been raised for our local students.
Craig Benson Art Show
You may have seen Craig's captivating stone and bronze wildlife carvings throughout the Inn, now meet the artist face to face! This week-end show takes place in the lobby of Wickaninnish-On-the-Beach. www.craigarthurbenson.com

Tofino Film Festival
This grass-roots festival is in its twelvth year of showcasing a diverse selection of films from across North America. Proceeds will help upgrade Tofino's cozy Clayoquot Sound Theatre. Check back here for the lineup!
O'Neill Coldwater Classic
This surf competition series explores remote corners of the world, and comes to Tofino in 2009! This is considered a World Qualifiying Series (WQS) event, so in other words, we will be seeing some major international surf talent here.
Olympic Torch Relay
Greet the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay as it passes through Tofino on day three of its 45,000 km journey. Tofino has been deemed a Celebration Community, hosting daylong festivities to honour the Olympic Flame. Join us!
Clayoquot Oyster Festival
An annual tribute to our favorite bivalve! This is a week-end of entertaining talks, oyster farm tours, and tasty events like The Oyster Gala where local chefs compete for the most popular creation and the Mermaids' Ball with its slurping contest...

Tofino Artist Mark Hobson Exhibit in the Salal Room
You are invited to meet the affable Mark Hobson and view his Clayoquot Sound-inspired paintings throughout this week-end in the Salal Room at Wickaninnish-at-the-Pointe, from 10:00am to 9:00pm. All are welcome.

Pacific Rim Whale Festival
It's a whale of a time during the 23nd annual Festival, celebrating the migration of 20 000 Pacific Grey Whales past our shores on their journey from Baja to Alaska. The Inn is pleased to be a sponsor of the Festival, offering many events for the young and young at heart, from whale sightings to hands-on education about whales and the traditions of the Nuu-chah-nulth people of the West Coast.
